I have been an painter since I can remember.
As a boy, I studied with my great uncle Allan Rothero, a very fine though obscure artist.
I attended Brookes Institute of Photography / Santa Barbara Fine Arts and studied with artists such as Ray Strong.
In the late 1970's I became an illustrator and designer working on projects for publishers Random House, Prentice Hall, NAL, Avant Books, and many others.
Highlights include Publishers Weekly's Annual issue, Major Works of the Season, illustration.

I have painted murals in various Homes, restaurants and hotels.
I started in scenic arts at
The Old Globe in Balboa Park, La Jolla Playhouse and San Diego Opera Scenic Studio, TV work including Veronica Mars, Terriers, and feature film work.
